The crisp, winter days have certainly arrived and Glenfern has changed with the season. The grasses have been knocked down by the rain making it easier to walk around, amazing looking fungus has sprung from decomposing wood and birds such as the Scarlet Robin have arrived.
Sunday 21st June, 9.30am - 12.30pm is our next monthly bush restoration morning. We will be working in Area 3 tackling the Spanish Heath, Boneseed, Hawthorn and Pittosporum seedlings that persistently appear in the native grasses. It's not all hard work because at 11am we stop for morning tea, a chat and an informative talk about a local plant or animal. Why don't you come and join us? Meet at the main, middle car park, rock wall entrance, Glenfern Road, Upwey.
