Conservation and conversation morning this Wednesday 9am - 11am. If it's sunny we plan to do another butterfly survey, if not I'm sure we will find something else that needs doing in the Bushlands. As always there will be a cuppa and chat too.
There was a lot of activity in the quarry area this morning. We weeded, whipper-snipped, replaced some small guards with taller ones as the trees were being eaten and had fun doing so. The area looks great and the whipper-snippering helps to contain the spread of weeds. Thanks to everyone involved.

Our AGM and Members' night is being held at the Upwey Township Hall (opposite the skate park behind the Upwey shops) on Thursday 9th October at 7pm.
You are invited to join us for a meal of soup, rolls and nibbles while we watch the presentations 'From Rubbish Dump to Bush Haven' - the inspirational story of Glenfern Valley Bushlands and 'A Gallery of Glenfern Birds' - a short film by Mike Sverns that showcases some of the birds (including the Powerful Owl) he has photographed at Glenfern. If you like to stay on this will be followed by our AGM and a brief general meeting.
