After having our picnics at the old quarry, we got out our spotting torches and made our way into the trees.
There we spotted ringtail and brushtail possums, a sleeping wattle bird, sugar gliders (the sweetest of all gliders – no-one laughed at this joke last night so I’ll take another swing, now), micro bats, and spiders. But the most unexpected thing seen in the night sky by myself, Daniel, was a string of maybe ten satellites flying closely in a straight line down towards the horizon.
