The local National Tree Day event is taking place at Glenfern Valley Bushlands, Glenfern Road, Upwey, on Sunday 29th July. Enter at the middle gate on Glenfern Road (look for the witches hats). Activities begin at 9.30am and conclude at 1.00pm.
We are aiming to plant 300 seedlings on the edge of the disused quarry to stop the spread of weeds into the surrounding high quality bushland.
We invite all residents to come along, help out, have fun and get their hands dirty whilst working with the community to do something good for our environment.
