Wednesday's Conservation and Conversation saw us tidying up the entrances and quarry area for our upcoming 21st birthday celebration on October 23rd. Plenty of mowing, whipper-snippering and weed removing action followed by a tasty morning tea and a chat. Thank you to everyone that came along, and to Marleen for the providing the morning tea. This coming Wednesday October 5th we'll hold our midweek Conservation and Conversation morning from 9am till 11am followed by morning tea. We meet at the central car park. Please bring gloves, sturdy shoes and drinking water. We'll supply you with tools, hand sanitiser, and morning tea. 🌿

Just a quick reminder that this coming Wednesday September 7th we'll hold our midweek Conservation and Conversation morning, followed by morning tea.
We'll meet at 9am at the central car park. We'll walk down to the creek to divert a small section of track that is too close to the creek edge. We'll provide you with morning tea, tools and hand sanitiser. Please bring sturdy shoes, long pants, gloves. Our Bushland Restoration Morning will then be held on Sunday September 18th, 9.30am - 12.30pm. Sunday was a perfect day to restore some bushlands, and restore we did – in areas 7, 8 & 9. At morning tea, Jackson regaled us with information about the local tubercle burrowing crayfish, leaving us hungry for more. All in all, a wonderful morning was had in the sunshine. And you're welcome to join us next time, on the first Wednesday of the month and/or the third Sunday of the month. Keep an eye out here for more details. And now, please enjoy the following images contributed by four of our lovely members…
We were sheltered from the wind at the Depot end while we cleared a weedy plot of Blackberries, Turkey rhubarb, Hawthorn and Fennel. Rubbish was collected and branches piled to be later chipped for mulch and used as habitat.. This area by the creek has the potential to become a pretty picnic spot. Photos by Linda Fullagar
