Area 15 welcomed us across Ferny Creek to remove the weeds that had taken root over the past twelve months. We lovingly ripped them out and carted them away to make space for indigenous flora. Agapanthus, pittos, Verbena and ivy were some of the usual culprits, along with some surprises such as a golf ball and a coconut husk. At morning tea, Jackson educated us about the methods Eucalypts use to survive harsh conditions.
It was another stunning May morning and a pleasure to be out in the reserve. Thanks to the volunteers that joined us.
